The electricians AI named in Portland

On September 6, 2026 we asked an AI research assistant — using live web search, the same method a Cited audit runs, with no ads and no scraped Google results — "Who are the best electricians in Portland, OR?" The 6 electricians below are the businesses it surfaced, ordered with the businesses that surfaced in every pass first, then the rest by how consistently each recurred across independent reviews, directories, and best-of lists.

AI answers are sampled and change over time, so this is a record of two independently-worded live-web-search passes on one date — not a live ranking, and not a Cited endorsement (we don't rank or endorse businesses). If your business is on this list, or you run one in Portland that isn't, that gap is exactly what a Cited audit measures: whether AI names you when someone in Portland asks, who it names instead, and the fixes that change it.

Assistant: Claude (Anthropic), using live web search

That is one assistant, not a panel of them: this record is what a single tool surfaced for Portland electricians on September 6, 2026, not a consensus across engines. Put the same question to a different assistant and some of these 6 names will change — which is why we publish the date and the method instead of a score.

Don’t take our word for the list above — put the same question to an assistant yourself. A run today may well name different Portland electricians than the September 6, 2026 pass did; that difference is the sampling this page describes, not a mistake in it.

Don't see your business above?

If you run one of the Portland electricians AI didn't name here, that's the exact gap a Cited audit measures — whether AI recommends your business when a homeowner asks, who it names instead, and the plain-English fixes that change it (the same ones that win Google). Not appearing reflects only two independently-worded sampled passes on one date, never a verdict on your work. The audit is free and needs no account.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a ranking of the best electricians in Portland?

No. It's a factual, dated record of which electricians an AI research assistant surfaced on September 6, 2026 when asked "Who are the best electricians in Portland, OR?", ordered with the businesses every pass surfaced at the top, then the rest by how often each recurred across independent reviews, directories, and best-of lists. Cited doesn't rank or endorse businesses, and AI answers are sampled and non-deterministic — a different assistant, or the same one next week, may name a different set.

How did Cited decide which businesses to include?

We ran two independently-worded live-web-search passes — the same method a Cited audit uses, with no ads and no scraped Google results — and listed the businesses it named, the businesses every pass surfaced first, then most-recurring. No business paid to appear, and inclusion isn't a recommendation. The only paid placement on this page is the clearly-labeled featured listing.

My business isn't on this list — what does that mean?

Only that this particular pass didn't surface it — never that it's unqualified. That's exactly the gap a Cited audit measures: whether AI names your business when a homeowner in Portland asks, who it names instead, and the plain-English fixes that change it. The audit is free and needs no account.

How do electricians get recommended by AI in Portland?

Assistants pick names from signals they can read: a complete, accurate Google Business Profile, recent genuine reviews, and clear service and service-area pages. The same fixes win Google and the local map pack, so the work pays off whether a customer finds you through an assistant or a classic search. Run the free audit to see which signals you're missing.
